Fungal-based materials have a big range of potential applications, including packaging, paper, biomedical, construction industry and very recently electronics. Mechanical properties are highly related with the strain selected, substrate, growth conditions (time, temperature, humidity, air flow), dehydration method and hot or cold pressing.
